Fall is finally here and it is time that you secure the essentials that will make you a fall fashionista. First, let me start with the one thing that you shouldn’t carry into the fall; the Jessica Simpson platform patent-leather pump. This should be one item that you should quickly get rid of. “Why”, you may ask? This is a cute shoe, but it has been over artificialized and everyone is doing this shoe. To be a fashionista, you must think outside the box and go beyond what the next person is doing. Try to replace this pump with a pair of chunky-heeled knee boots, spiked heeled ankle boots, or just a pair of hot ankle boots, funky wedge heeled shoes, and you must have a pair of round and square-toe pumps. Oh! And don’t forget to grab a lace pump, they are really big this season! You can find these latest and hottest styles from designers such as Betsey Johnson, Gucci, Giuseppe Zanotti, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Chloe, Jimmy Choo, and Christian Loubutin. If these designers aren’t in your budget try Steve Madden, Aldo, and Nine West. These stores have some of these hot designs with same affect of the designer ones, just with a cheaper price.

Now that your feet are taken care of, you have to make sure that your clothes are on point. Always make sure that whatever clothing you choose for the season, make sure you make it your own; for that is the true test of a person with style! Remember it is the presentation that sets your clothing apart from the rest, so ladies, always remember that presentation is the key! To give you a start, start filling your closet with chunky-oversized sweaters, leggings, high-waisted paints, jeans and skirts, wide leg pants, the perfect suit, the perfect black dress, lace tops, military inspired pants and jackets, skinny leg jeans, and pants. These are a few examples of some pieces that will take you to the next level. You can also incorporate these pieces into work as well as social life, you just have to mix and match! You do have to remember there is a time and place for everything, so dress accordingly. However, it’s always time to be fashionable!

Accessories are also big this season and I feel that they will be real hot for a while. Everyone is doing the big belts around sweaters and t-shirts and that’s cute; however, since everyone is doing that instead of a big belt do two or three skinny belts; sounds odd but it works you just have to know how to make it work! Or perhaps one skinny belt would work as well. One accessory you have to have is an oversized bag. Oversized bags are the hottest trend in Hollywood, they are convenient and stylish. Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Chloe, Miu Miu, and Dior have some of the hottest oversized bags of the season. If these aren’t in your budget just yet, try Urban Outfitters, Nine West, Bakers, and Aldo; they, too, have some nice oversized bags that I think would better fit into your budget. Along with the oversized bag, you must invest in a nice clutch. It doesn’t have to be designer as long as it is of nice quality.

Clutches give you the fashion forward look with a hint of class, and class is something a fashionista always gives off. Eyewear is also important; even though it’s chilly the sun is still shining! For your eye wear remember the bigger the better. You may think that big frames aren’t for you, but trust me there is a pair that is. Try Oliver Peoples, Gucci, Betsey Johnson, and Chanel for you eyewear. These glasses do range any were from $150-$400+, but in my opinion there are no alternatives with eyewear. People can always spot knock-off and cheap frames from a mile away, besides every fashionista owns a pair of designer frames!!
